Description


A long period of snowfall is expected, with total accumulations of 20 to 35 cm.

The heaviest snow will fall on Saturday.

Snow over southern Alberta will spread northwards today. General amounts of 5 to 10 cm are anticipated by Saturday morning with another 10 to 25 cm forecast before the snow ends Saturday evening.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
