Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drivecars through flooded areas.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or lawenforcement and request they pass this information to the NationalWeather Service when you can do so safely.Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.The next statement will be issued this afternoon at 300 PM PST.

Description

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall continues.* WHERE...All of Marin, Sonoma, and Napa Counties.* WHEN...Until 315 AM PST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1044 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gaugesindicated heavy rain. This is causing urban and small streamflooding. Between 4 and 18 inches of rain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Santa Rosa, Napa, Petaluma, San Rafael, Novato, Rohnert Park,Windsor, American Canyon, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Larkspur,Healdsburg, Sonoma, Corte Madera, Tiburon, Cloverdale,Fairfax, Sebastopol, Cotati and Sausalito.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Do not attempt to cross floodedroads. Find an alternate route.Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or lawenforcement and request they pass this information to the NationalWeather Service when you can do so safely.
