* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning today: Heavy snow. Snowaccumulations between 1 to 2 feet above 7,000 feet and up to 3feet at the highest peaks. 2 to 6 inches below 7,000 feet.Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. Ridge windgusts will reach up to 125 mph. For the Winter Storm WatchSunday-Tuesday: Heavy snow with 3-8 inches below 7000 feet and 1to 3 feet above 7000 feet.* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area, and Lassen-Eastern Plumas-EasternSierra Counties.* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, from 10 AM this morning to 10PM PST Saturday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Sundaynight through Tuesday afternoon.* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Thehazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening and Mondaymorning commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damageto trees and power lines.
