Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drivecars through flooded areas.Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.Stay tuned to further developments by listening to your local radio,television, or NOAA Weather Radio for further information.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.Additional information is available at weather.gov/eka.The next statement will be issued this evening at 915 PM PST.

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the followingcounty, Humboldt.* WHEN...Until noon PST.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Water over roadways. There will be an increased risk of rock andland slides along roadways.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 924 AM PST, Small rivers, creeks and streams will slowlyrecede today.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Eureka, Arcata, Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, WillowCreek, Hoopa, Honeydew, Garberville, Orick, Richardson GroveState Park, Shelter Cove, Orleans, Fortuna, Rio Dell, MapleCreek, Bridgeville, Carlotta, Pepperwood, Scotia,McKinleyville and Dinsmore.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
