Description

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations generallybetween 4 and 7 inches. Locally greater totals possible in an areafrom Piscataquis county to southeast Aroostook county.* WHERE...Portions of Central Highlands, Far Eastern, Far Northern,North Woods, and Penobscot Valley Maine* WHEN...From 4 PM Thursday to 7 AM EST Friday.* IMPACTS...Periods of locally heavy snowfall may lead to rapid snowaccumulations. The weight of heavy, wet snow on tree limbs maydown power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travelcould be very difficult due to heavy snow creating low visibility,and wet roads freezing under new snow. These hazardous conditionswill impact travel Thursday evening through Friday morning.
