* WHAT...For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.For the first Coastal Flood Advisory, up to one half foot ofinundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areasnear the waterfront and shoreline. For the second CoastalFlood Advisory, up to one foot of inundation above groundlevel expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront andshoreline.* WHERE...Southwest Suffolk County.* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through Saturdayevening. For the first Coastal Flood Advisory, from 8 PM thisevening to 2 AM EDT Saturday. For the second Coastal FloodAdvisory, from 10 AM to 4 PM EDT Saturday.* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Minor flooding in the more vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some Roads andlow lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, andhomes and businesses with basements near the waterfront willexperience minor flooding. Localized moderate coastal floodingis possible during the high tide cycle Saturday.* RIP CURRENT IMPACTS...Life-threatening rip currents are likelyfor all people entering the surf zone. Anyone visiting thebeaches should stay out of the surf. Rip currents can sweepeven the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional rounds of minor coastal flooding aroundthe times high tide can be expected into Sunday.
