While most flock to the mountain, or to a cozy couch infront of a hot fire with a warm drink. I can be found loading up my Jeep with the boats and hitting the water. Started out my day paddling in the 50km winds to calm and embrace the tranquil silence of the gentle snowfall. The gusting winds catching your paddle with each stroke, your hood continuously whipping about all you hear is thst constant hum all around. It’s those moments you can’t quite tell if your hands are frozen to the shaft of your paddle or if they are just so cold you can’t move them. Each ice pellet hits like a needle in the little bit of flesh you have left bare to the elements. It’s not adrenaline that comes over me, it’s the connection. These are the moments I live for. These are the moments you know you are truly alive.
